Myrsjöskolan is a compulsory school situated in Saltsjö-Boo, close to the city of Stockholm. It is a school with a relaxed atmosphere, modern facilities and students who enjoy studying here. The school is organised into teams. This gives the students and the teachers the opportunity to work with projects where different subjects could be integrated. Myrsjöskolan comprises grades 0-9 and leisure activities for grades 0-6. This year there are about 1000 students. At Secondary school the classes consist of about 17 students. All our classes are divided into certain Profile classes. It means that all students are offered more education in one of the following Profiles: Culture (Art, Drama and Music), International, Sports- and Outdoor life or Science. At Myrsjöskolan we emphasize the importance of communicative skills and have for many years invested in modern computer halls. Our classrooms have wireless network and are provided with display devices. In 2009 we implemented a one-to one computer program. All students starting in Year 6 and 7 get their own Apple iBook laptop computer, available 24/7. The laptops are used in a variety of settings, for multiple purposes and they are used in all subjects. We believe that through one-to-one computer use our students get access to various modes of learning, up to date content and become empowered for future studies. "Myrsjöskolan
is a good school. We have small classes and great teachers.
We have a lot of options at this school. We have access to
modern computers and the environment around the school is
nice, so you could say that I like it here." "One
good thing about this school is that pupils and teachers get
along so well. It feels like we are working together." Read about 9A1´s trip to Nice in october 2007 >>here Read about 9C1’s exchange with a class in Sardinia in 2009 Contact us
